Outfit & Backdrop Style Prep Guide

Everything you need to show up and shoot.

Outfits

  • Bring 2–3 looks, steamed and on hangers.
  • Solid colours photograph best; avoid tiny stripes and small checks.
  • Bring the shoes you'll wear — they show in full-length shots.

Backdrops

  • Standard: white, grey and black paper.
  • Extra backdrops add-on: pick two from terracotta, sage, navy, blush or mustard.
  • Match backdrop to outfit contrast — dark outfits on light paper, and vice versa.

Grooming

  • Arrive camera-ready or book your stylist to arrive 30 min early.
  • Matte powder beats shine under strobes.
  • Bring lint roller and safety pins — we have a steamer.

On the day

  • Arrive 10 minutes early; setup time is already in your slot.
  • Send moodboard references to the studio on WhatsApp beforehand.
  • The 30-minute reset after your slot is for the next client — please wrap on time.
